Mia, Mia, Mia
It's been only 6 weeks since Mia joined our family but it seems like she has been with us forever. She is an amazing baby. Just the other day an older gentleman commented on the intelligence you can see in her eyes. It is true...just she seems very bright. She is also fairly easygoing and can sit in her stroller for a decent amout of time without complaining. But she will definitely let you know if she wants something or if she is mad (usually when changing her clothes or diaper). She also loves roughhousing...she will usually try to join in when Nick is wrestling with his Dad. At first Mia seemed like a pretty serious baby...not unhappy, but one who does not smile or laugh too much. We were so wrong about this...as she becomes more comfortable in her new home she just seems happier with each day. In fact she is turning out to be quite a happy baby. We are absolutely thrilled to have her as part of our family.
At 13 months, Mia:
1) Sleeps through the night (10-12 hours without waking up)
2) Takes 2 naps (1 to 2 hours each)
2) Eats most foods (she doesn't like baby food though)
3) Crawls very well, can stand alone for a couple of minutes, and take a few steps
4) Claps her hands and waves bye-bye
5) Will imitate everything we do
6) Can crawl up the stairs
7) Says Dadadada and Mamamama
8) Will pretend that any toy is the phone (today she held a playing card and picture frame to her ear).
9) Loves being on Daddy's shoulders
10) Dislikes the cat
